Inserting an Existing Reference (Instantiate or Duplicate)

You can instantiate or duplicate a functional or logical reference with symbol in your model structure.

You can insert a reference from:

  • Session
  • Database
  • Catalog

In this scenario, the reference is selected from session. We advise you to see Inserting an Existing Reference and Inserting a New or Existing Reference from Catalog or Library.

Before you begin: For the purpose of this scenario, in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Systems Architecture > Functional & Logical Design > General tab, select Immersive Chooser. This option allows you to select the reference in session directly from the tree. For more information, see : General.
