About Design Review on RFL Objects

In order to review requirements, functional and logical models, you can create a live validation via the Design Review app.

For more about validation, review and slide, see the Design Review User's Guide.

Tip: When exiting your session, remember that the last open app will be reopened with your model. If you exit your session leaving your model on validation, the Design Review app will be opened with your model.

RFL Objects Display in Design Review

The Design Review app enables you to manage the display of RFL objects.

You can perform the following actions:

  • Re-order the 2D graph using drag and drop
  • Expand/collapse the tree and 2D graph
  • Hide/show objects through the 2D graph or from the context menu.
    Note: It is not possible to hide/show root objects.

Alternative 2D Graph

You can use the contextual commands on RFL objects to create an alternative 2D graph.

In your alternative 2D graph, you can overload any function or logical component, MUX/DEMUX, port, and connection.

When applicable, you can modify their:

  • Visibility (Hide/Show)
  • Graphical properties (line color, text size...)
  • Position
  • Size
  • Minimize status (Minimize/Restore)
  • Expand/collapse status
  • Connection waypoint (Add/Remove segment)
  • Ports grouping
  • Rotation

To use a command that is not available from the context menu (for example, to create a MUX/DEMUX), switch to Functional & Logical Design.

Live Validation Default Visibility

You can define that some RFL objects will not be displayed in Design Review from Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Systems Architecture > Functional & Logical Design > Live Validation.
