Editing Parameters of Requirements, Functions and Logical Components

You can create, edit and delete parameters of requirements, functions or logical components.


Before you begin:

In Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Systems Architecture > Functional & Logical Design > Tree, select the Display parameter folder in Requirement Tree or Display parameter folder in Functional and Logical tree options. For more information, see Native Apps Preferences Guide: Tree.

  1. From the tree, right-click a requirement or a function or a logical component and from the context menu, select Parameter Edition .
    The RFL Parameter Edition dialog box appears.
  2. To create a parameter, click Create Parameter.
    The Parameter dialog box appears.
  3. In the Parameter tab:
    1. In the Title box, enter the title to be displayed in the tree and in the 2D representation.

      Note: The Name box displays the non-editable and unique key server identifier.

    2. Optional: Enter a description.
  4. Optional: In the Select Parameter Type tab, edit the options of your parameter.

    Tip: The Select Parameter Type tab is described in the Knowledge Basics: Inserting a New Object Parameter.

  5. Click OK.
    The parameter is created in the RFL Parameter dialog box.
  6. To edit the attributes of an existing parameter:
    1. In the RFL Parameter dialog box, select a parameter and click Edit Parameter .
      The Attributes dialog box appears.
    2. In the Attributes dialog box, edit the attributes of the selected parameter.
  7. To delete an existing parameter, in the RFL Parameter dialog box, select the parameter and click Delete Parameter.
    The selected parameter is removed from the RFL Parameter dialog box.
  8. Close the RFL Parameter Edition dialog box.

The parameters are created in a dedicated Parameters folder and displayed in the tree, under the associated element.
