Creating a Cutout

Cutout removes the material from the active body.

  1. Select the closed profile on which you are going to base the cutout.

    Tip: If no profile is defined, click Positioned Sketch to sketch the profile.

  2. Prism is the default shape definition. You can also select Sweep .
    1. From the Type list under Floor, select Length and specify the required length.

    2. From the Type list under Opening, select Length and specify the required length.
    3. In the Direction box, select the reference element.
    4. In the Draft tab, specify the required draft options.
    5. In the Fillet tab, specify the required fillet options.
  3. Clear the With floor check box .

    As indicated by the pointer, the cutout has no floor.

  4. Define the wall direction to control whether the wall is constructed inside or outside of the selected profile. The default is an outside wall thickness.
