Pulling a Body to Deform a Shell

Pull lets you use bodies as tools to deform the shell by pulling into it.

  1. In the Boss.X dialog box, select External Shape as shape definition.
  2. In the Pull.X dialog box, select the pulling body.
  3. In the Clearance box, enter the required value.

    The clearance is the protected volume around pulling body that separates it from solid functional set.

  4. Under the Openings, select the faces to remove.
  5. From the Type list under Wall, select a thickness definition type.
  6. Under Other Clearance Faces, select the faces and click to define their respective clearances.
  7. In the Fillet tab, specify the fillet parameters.
