Creating a Shellable Feature

Shellable Feature creates a shellable prism. It is very often used to create the main shape of the part.

  1. Select a shape definition.
    Prism is selected as the default shape definition.
    Note: The dialog box for the feature changes according to the options offered by the shape.
  2. Select the profile to be extruded.

    Tip: If no profile is defined, click Positioned Sketch to sketch the profile.

  3. Create the required shape as explained in the further tasks.
  4. Optional: In the Draft tab, select the required draft options.
  5. Optional: In the Fillet tab, select the required fillet options.
  6. To edit the shellable feature, double-click the Shellable Prism.x node in the tree or click Shell Properties in the Object Properties panel.
  7. In the Shell Properties.x, select the required faces in Faces to remove box.
  8. Enter the required wall thickness in the Thickness box.
