Pushing a Body

You can use bodies as tools to deform the shell by pushing into it.

  1. Select External Shape as the Shape definition.
  2. In the Tool body box, select the pushing body.
  3. In the Clearance tab, enter the clearance value.

    Clearance is the protected volume around the pushed feature that separates it from solid functional set.

  5. To add fillets, click Fillet .
    1. From the Intersection fillet list, select the appropriate check boxes to create fillets at the required intersections.
    2. Select the Fillet radius and Round radius if required and specify the respective values.
    3. Select the Preserve Shell Thickness check box to maintain the thickness at fillets.
  6. Click Control and select the Faces to remove, if any.
    Important: By selecting faces in Faces to remove in Openings, the walls facing to the selected face will be removed. This feature is useful for the vent shapes. The clearance option on selected faces will be compatible with the selection of faces to remove.
