About the User Feature Synchronization

This topic provides you with information about the user feature synchronization. You can synchronize an instance or more with its reference.

Command Availability

The synchronization is enabled/disabled in the following cases:

Input Output Parameter
Added KO OK OK
Removed OK KO KO
Notes:
  • The synchronization is enabled if the internal view has changed but it is disabled if instance and reference are identical.
  • The Force mode can be used to by-pass these limitations but the synchronization is not guaranteed.

Output Rerouting

The user feature synchronization manages the outputs rerouting. If you create a feature based on the subelement of a user feature instance output, the reroute operation is automatically launched at the end of the synchronization.

Inputs Inversion

The inputs inversions (orientations) are preserved at synchronization.

Note: User features you instantiated before V6R2013x do not contain any inversion information.

Published Parameters

User feature synchronization transfers published parameters from the old instance to the new one. It does not report the parameters from the reference to the new instance.
