Create a Cut on a Shellable Prism
You can create a cut on a shellable prism.
Before you begin: Open a
3D shape
representation.

From the
Transform section of the
action bar,
click
Cut
.
The Cut.x dialog box appears. -
In the
Features to cut box, select a shellable
prism.
Tip: If you select several features, the box displays the number of selected elements. To act on this selection, click to display a panel that allows you to:
- View the selected elements
- Remove any element
- In the Cutting element box, select required cutting elements. You can use surfaces and planes as cutting elements.
- Optional:
Change the direction of arrows to indicate which portion of the
material must be kept.

Click
to set the radius of fillets on the edges created by the cutting elements..
- Optional: from the Type list under Wall, select Use feature thickness to create wall along the cutting surface.

Click
Preview.
- Optional:
In the
Offset
box, type a value or use the arrows to change the
offset value from the selected cutting elements. Click
Preview.

Click
OK.
A cut feature is created. Cut.x is added to the tree under the Solid Functional Set.x node.
