Displaying Computed Effects

You can display the calculated effects for a system by propagating the failure modes defined at high-levels of the architecture.

  1. Optional: Select the level of display:
    OptionDescription
Display Calculated Effects: One Level Shows computed effects that are directly propagated from a higher-level causality relationship.
Display Calculated Effects: All Levels Shows all computed effects that are directly propagated or propagated by other effects.
Hide Calculated Effects Hides the display of propagated effects.
  2. To define a failure effect, select an effect cell or click in the lower right of the cell.
A list displays the failure modes of functions or operations implemented in context respectively by the current function or operation, if some failure modes are defined.
  3. Select a failure mode.
Depending on the selected propagation, the implemented function or operation, and the failure modes appear in a tile of the cell.
