Comparing FMEA Tables

You can compare two revisions of an FMEA table and identify the differences between them. The two revisions can belong to different branches.

  1. In the Structure Tree, select an FMEA table and click Load/Unload Analysis from the Edit section of the action bar to load it.
  2. From the Edit section of the action bar, click Compare Revisions .
  3. In the Select revision to compare dialog box, select another revision of the selected FMEA.

    Note: If no revision is available for the selected FMEA, the dialog box stays blank.

    In the work area, the differences are identified by a colored line at the left of each cell of the table. The color code for the compare status, is as follows:

    Color Code Description
    -

    Unchanged Element: A matching object is found.



    Added Element: No matching object is found in the first revision. It corresponds to added cells.



    Removed Element: No matching object is found in the second revision. Corresponds to removed cells, the text is displayed with a strikethrough font. If you hover over the cells, previous values are displayed.



    Changed Revision: A matching object is found, but the revision of the pointed object cell has been replaced by another revision. If you hover over the cells, previous values are displayed.

  4. Optional: To exit the compare mode, select and load another FMEA or click Menu > Refresh to refresh the widget.
