Rerouting FMEAs

You can reroute FMEAs associated with a system to be analyzed, when the system is revised.

Recommendation: To keep an analysis on the original revision, you can create a branch for the original FMEA, and then move this branch on the revised system.

Before you begin:
  • Associate an FMEA with a system.
  • Create a revision of the system from Collaborative Lifecycle. To access Collaborative Lifecycle, the Collaborative Innovator role is required.

About the Structure Tree
  1. From the Structure Tree, select an FMEA.
  2. From the Edit section of the action bar, click Reroute to Another Revision .
  3. In the Select target revision dialog box, select another revision of the system.
    The FMEA and its associated objects are rerouted to the revised system.
  4. Optional: If the automatic save is deactivated, click Save from the Edit section of the action bar.
  5. To access the rerouted FMEA:
    1. Click Home .
    2. Open the revised system in the app.
    The FMEA is associated with the revised system. The FMEA is no longer associated with the previous revision of the system.
    Note: If the rerouting of the objects fails, the background of these objects turns to red in the FMEA table.
