In each causality relationship of the Fault Isolation Manual table:
-
Drag a symptom from the 3DSearch, the Bookmark Editor, or Process Management in the Maintenance Message cell.
-
Drag one or more service workplaces or requirements into the Fault
Isolation Procedure cell.
-
In the FMEA table of the system,

relationship.
A list displays the fault isolation procedures associated with symptoms from
Fault Isolation Manual.
-
Select a fault isolation procedure.
The fault isolation procedure is associated with the symptoms to which it is
already associated in this FMEA table.
The ambiguity groups of the causality relationship are added to the pointer to the Fault
Isolation Procedure and provide the following information:
- Ambiguity Groups: Contains the ambiguity groups of a causality relationship when it is
created or reset. It is a persistent, multivalued, string attribute.
- Ambiguity Group Consistency: A Boolean that is true if and only if the ambiguity groups
for the fault isolation procedure are still equal to the ambiguity groups of the causality
relationship. This attribute is computed and does not persist. If the ambiguity group of
the causality relationship has not been defined, the consistency is false.
