Bookmarks

You can create a bookmark structure to organize your content by adding existing content from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform or by uploading content from your computer. You can edit your bookmark structure only using Bookmark Editor.

This task shows you how to:

Create a Bookmark

You can create a bookmark to organize your content by adding existing content from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Required access roles: Author, Leader, Contributor, Administrator.

Do one of the following.
  • Click to create a bookmark.
  • You can click New Bookmark from the left pane.
  • From the left pane context menus, click New Bookmark to create a new bookmark.
The bookmark is created. You can also create bookmarks from different editor apps.

Mark a Bookmark as a Favorite

You can mark a bookmark as a favorite and view the bookmark in the favorite section in the left pane.

Note: You cannot mark a bookmark as favorite when an object is selected in the content view.

To add a bookmark to favorites, open the bookmark and click Add/Remove Favorite bookmarks.

Note: When you open a favorite bookmark, Add/Remove Favorite bookmarks is highlighted.

To remove the bookmark from favorites, select the bookmark and click the command again.

The bookmark is added to the favorite bookmarks.

Find a Bookmark in the Tree

You can open a bookmark by searching for a bookmark inside a tree structure and expand the structure to a specific bookmark. If there are multiple instances, all the instances are expanded and highlighted.

Note: You cannot search using find in tree when a root bookmark is selected in the right pane.

  1. Open a bookmark, and click Find in tree in the left pane.

    If you do not select a bookmark before searching, the first 200 entries are searched.

    The Find in dialog box appears.
  2. Enter your query or drag a valid bookmark into the textbox. To delete the query, click clear .

    Note: Only ten recent searches are displayed.

  3. Click Find. You can also press Enter to search.
    If there are bookmarks matching your search criteria, all the matching instances in the product structure are expanded and highlighted.
  4. Click or to move from one result toanother.

    To cancel the search, click Find in tree or press Esc.

Print a Bookmark

You can print the content of a bookmark.

  1. Open the bookmark.
  2. Click Print.
    The printable view appears.

    The printable view displays the bookmark columns and their contents.

Export a Bookmark

You can export the content view of a bookmark to a CSV file.

  1. Open the bookmark.
  2. Click Export.
    When the export completes, the export file is downloaded.

    The CSV file name consists of the widget name and the date.

    The export file has the bookmark columns and their contents.
