Customizing Preferences

You can customize Preferences for the Bookmark Editor app.

  1. From the upper-right corner of the widget, click > Preferences .
  2. Choose your settings for the following Preferences:

    Preferences Option Description

    Credentials

    All available credentials depending on your roles and licenses.

    Choose the credentials for creating bookmarks and documents. This context is also used when you copy and move bookmarks and objects.

    3DEXPERIENCE Platform

    Options are available only on the cloud.

    Choose the context for your access to 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

    Drag and drop behavior

    Move

    Select this option to move bookmarks and content to the target bookmark.

    This is the default setting.

    Copy

    Select this option to create copies of bookmarks and objects in the target bookmark.

    Filter content sub-objects

    Select this check-box to activate the filtered view of bookmark contents where child CAD assemblies are displayed only once in a bookmark.

    The following types of components are filtered:

    • CATProduct
    • CATPart
    • CATProcess
    • CATAnalysis
    • CATDrawing
    • CATIA Design Drawing

    Allow products expand

    Select to expand the products in the content view.

    This also activates the option to search for an object in a product structure.

    The default value of this option is false.

    Show sub-bookmarks in content view

    Select to display the bookmarks contained in the current bookmark in the content view.

    This is the default setting.

    Populate tags from content view

    Select to activate the feature that allows you to filter your bookmark contents using tags and mark objects in the content view using different colors.

    This is the default setting.

    Use Index

    Select to activate index acceleration in bookmarks.

    This is the default setting.

    You can deactivate this feature to access updates that are not indexed from the database.

    Auto switch from Authoring mode to Index mode

    The authoring mode switches to index mode after the selected time duration lapses. Choose the duration based on the time required to index your data.

    After you create or update the data, the index acceleration is disabled to reflect the latest changes (performance might be impacted).

    This field controls the duration between your most recent updates in the app and when the app resumes using the index, accelerating the performance of the application.

  3. Click Save to save the changes and return to Bookmark Editor.
