Working on the Intermediate State of the Functional Structure

You can display the intermediate state of a functional structure and work on it.


Before you begin: Insert a surfacic functional set.

Here is the representation used for this scenario:

  1. From the Structure section of the action bar, click Functional Sub-Result .
  2. Optional: Select a surfacic functional set or a function in the work area or the tree.
    The dialog box is displayed along with the functional structure, its name corresponds to the selected surfacic functional set.
  3. Click the button at the top to select a functional state.
    The displayed sub-result corresponds to the result just before this state. The image below shows the sub-result before the creation of any stiffener.

    Tips:
    • Move the slider on the left to scan all the intermediate states.
    • Use the left-mouse button to rotate the functional structure.
    • Press Ctrl and the left-mouse button to zoom.
    • Press Shift and the left-mouse button to pan.
  4. Click OK.
    The created feature is aggregated under a set called Surfacic Functional Sub Result and located at the last position in the surfacic functional set.
