Editing Images

Image Edition lets you dimension an image or align an image with another image or a geometric element.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Import at least two images.

Resize an Image

You can size, measure and scale an image by modifying the distance between two defined points on this image.

  1. To define the manipulation direction, do either of the following:
    • Select two points on the same image. The manipulation direction is defined horizontally or vertically by the canonical directions of the image.
    • Press Ctrl and select two points on the same image.

Only one manipulation direction is available, and it is defined by the selected points.

  2. To change the dimension, do either of the following:
    • Enter a value in the field and press Enter.
    • Drag the handle.

Resize an Image Using a Geometric Element

You can align two points belonging to respectively an image and a geometric element (such as another image, a point, a line, and so on) to scale these two images and make them fit each other.

  1. Select a first point on the first image as the anchor point.
  2. Select a second point on another image or geometry.
The selected geometry translates so that the anchor point and the picked point are aligned in the image plane.
  3. Select a second point on the first image.
  4. Select another point on another image or geometry.
The selected geometry scales so that the second point and the picked point are aligned. The angle between the anchor point and the fourth point is kept.
