Legacy - Selecting the Engineering Template

You can use search tools for selecting the engineering template that references the locator patch you want to instantiate.

Before you begin: Ensure that Keep link with selected object is selected. To specify this option, select Me > Preferences > Infrastructure > 3D Shape Infrastructure > General.
  1. From the Fastener section of the action bar, click Fastener Instantiation .
    A context toolbar appears. The Fastener references frame shows existing fastener references, but no engineering templates.
  2. Do either of the following:
    • Click Catalog to select an engineering template
    • Search for the corresponding engineering template by typing its name in the search toolbar.
