Analyzing Using Reflection Lines

To help you visualize surface quality, a Reflection Lines Analysis dynamically computes and projects the reflection of a grid of neons onto the surface of your shapes.

Before you begin: Open an existing 3D shape.
  1. Select one or more surfaces.
  2. Click Reflection Lines .
  3. You can:
    • Move and rotate the Robot with its handles.
    • Rotate the grid of neons by dragging one of the white handle dots on its boundary.
  4. Rotate the neon grid:
    1. Right-click one of the white handle dots on the neon grid and select Edit angle step.
    2. Enter a value in the Step dialog box to define a fixed rotation angle for the neon grid.
    3. Click any of the white handle dots on the neon grid.
The neon grid rotates by the defined angle.
    4. Press and hold Shift and click any of the white handle dots on the neon grid.
The neon grid rotates in the opposite direction.
  5. Click OK. The analysis is added to the tree and will be updated automatically whenever you modify any of the input elements.
