Creating Filling Surfaces

You can fill the space between three or more elements (curves or surfaces) that must be contiguous in only one point.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Open an existing 3D shape containing curves and surfaces.

Fill the Space between Surfaces

You can fill the space between multiple surfaces.

  1. Define the Deformation direction.
  2. Select the edge of the first surface.
  3. Select the edge of an adjacent surface.
  4. Select the edge of all other surfaces, still going from one surface to its direct neighbor.

Once you have selected the last edge contiguous to the first selected surface, the filling surfaces are created.

  5. In the App Options panel, click Continuities to display the continuity tags at the geometry.

  6. Right-click the displayed text to edit the continuities.
  7. Use the handles at the center point to deform the generated surfaces according to the selected Deformation direction.
  8. Right-click the handle to open the context menu.
  9. Click OK.
