Creating a Styling Fillet

Styling Fillet lets you create the styling fillet between two surfaces.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: Open a 3D shape containing two surfaces having a common edge.

Create a Styling Fillet between Two Surfaces

You can create a styling fillet between two surfaces using the different continuity and fillet types.

  1. Under the Options tab:
    1. In the Continuity area, click continuity.
    2. In the Fillet Type area, cancel the selection of Variable \ Partial Fillet .
  2. Select two surfaces.
  3. Click Apply.
  4. In the Continuity area, click continuity.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. To shrink the fillet, modify the start and end points of the intersection curve:
    1. In the Fillet Type area, click Variable\Partial Fillet .
    2. Drag the handles along the intersection curve towards the center of the fillet.
    3. Click Apply.
  7. Adjust the fillet radius to vary linearly along the length of the fillet:
    1. Click one of the radius values and change its value in the Edit dialog box.
    2. Click Apply.
  8. Adjust the fillet radius to vary non-linearly along the length of the fillet:
    1. Click one or several positions on the intersection curve.
    2. Define different radii at each inserted position.
    3. Click Apply.
  9. Click OK.
