Splitting the Pad

You can split a cylinder using a surface as the splitting plane.

Before you begin: Keep open the 3D shape created in the previous task.
  1. Open the Part Design app again.
  2. Select the cylinder and click Split
  3. Select the created surface as the splitting plane.
    An arrow appears indicating the portion of body that will be kept, make sure that it points in the right direction.

  4. Click OK in the Split Definition dialog box.
    The cylinder has been split by the surface.
