Creating Thread Representation

Thread Representation Creation lets you create a thread representation. You have below choices for selection:

  • A thread or threaded hole feature
  • A thread or threaded hole as technological result
  • The All threads option

Before you begin: Open an existing 3D shape containing at least one Part Design or Sheet Metal Design threads or threaded holes with technological result.
Important: Technological results must be generated before creating the thread constructed geometry features on patterned holes.
  1. In the Thread Representation Creation dialog box, select the threaded faces or holes in the 3D area.

    You can also select the Thread.x node in the tree.

    The Thread Representation Creation dialog box is updated to indicate that the thread representations created for the selected threads.
  2. To create a thread representation for all the threads in 3D shape, select the All threads option.
