Analyzing Mechanical Interfaces in an Assembly Context

The Mechanical Interface Assistant lets you analyze the mechanical interfaces within a part in an assembly context.


Before you begin:
  • Open an assembly containing several parts connected using mechanical interfaces.
  • Open a part in assembly context.
  1. Expand the respective sections to see the required results in the dialog box.
  2. In the 3D area, select one or more mechanical interfaces.
  3. On the context toolbar, select one of the following options to highlight other objects connected to the selected MI:

    Highlights the mechanical interface and computed result


    Highlights only the mechanical interface


    Highlights the connected or positioned mechanical interfaces


    Highlights only the computed result

    Note: These contextual commands are not available with the unconnected mechanical interfaces.

  4. From the list in the Action column, select the action to be taken.
    The rows with validated current status are highlighted in green .
