Analyzing Dimensions and Annotations Through Colors
Display
You can analyze an annotation according to its color display,
and customize the color analysis.
The following dimensions and annotations can be analyzed:
Dimensions and annotations on deleted geometry.
Dimensions and annotations on unloaded geometry.
Invalid dimensions and annotations.
Technological
feature dimensions.
Fake dimensions.
True dimensions.
Before you begin:
Open an existing 3D shape containing annotations.
Ensure that
Elements' Analysis
is selected in the
View section of the
action bar.
Click
Configure available under
Elements Analysis colors, available in
Me
> Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Mechanical Systems > 3D Tolerancing &
AnnotationDisplay section, to specify the colors for
different options available in the
Elements' Analysis dialog box.
Modify the geometry of an existing annotation to set it as
invalid.
The annotation color changes to the specified one in the
Elements' Analysis dialog box.
Change the existing color for
Invalid dimensions and annotations.
The color of the invalid annotation is now changed.
Click
Elements' Analysis
again.
Note:
You can also clear the
Activate elements' analysis colors check box
available under
Elements Analysis colors, in
Me
> Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Mechanical Systems > 3D Tolerancing &
AnnotationDisplay section.
The annotation appears with the default color for valid
annotations.
