Moving Annotations

You can move a text annotation.

There are two ways of moving a text annotation:

  • by drag and drop,

  • by using coordinates.

The operating mode described here applies to datum elements, datum targets, geometrical tolerances and capture callouts.

Before you begin: Open an existing 3D shape.
  1. Select the annotation text.

  2. Drag it to the desired location.

    Important:

You can stretch or reduce the frame during the moving.

  3. Move it using coordinates: enter the value of your choice in the X and Y boxes in the Position and Orientation , then enter another value to define the rotation in the A box.
    Tips:

You can set the increment of your choice to define the rotation angle. For more information, see Handles .

This is what you can obtain.

Note: A movable datum target is retained when the standard of a feature is changed from ISO to ASME using the feature properties. This is also true when the standard is changed from ASME to ISO.
