Tolerancing Body in White Holes

You can create geometrical tolerances on body in white holes.


Before you begin: Open an existing 3D representation.

Creating a Datum Reference Frame
  1. Right-click a capture and select Set Current.
  2. Select the datum reference frame A|B|C in the Semantic Tolerancing Advisor dialog box.
  3. Select the whole hole edges as shown on the part.


    The Semantic Tolerancing Advisor dialog box is updated.

  4. Click Position with DRF Specification (Elongated Pin / Hole) .

    The Geometrical Tolerance dialog box appears. Keep options as is.

  5. Click OK.

    The geometrical tolerance is created.

    The geometrical tolerance is created in the tree.

  6. Reselect the datum reference frame A|B|C in the Semantic Tolerancing Advisor dialog box if needed.
  7. Select the whole hole edges as shown on the part.


    The Semantic Tolerancing Advisor dialog box is updated. Note the geometric feature type: Non cylindrical Pin/Hole.

  8. Click Position with DRF Specification (Non cylindrical Pin / Hole)
    The Geometrical Tolerance dialog box appears. Keep options as is.
  9. Click OK.

    The geometrical tolerance is created.

    The geometrical tolerance is created in the tree.
