Connecting Geometry in User Surface Annotation

You can connect a user surface of an annotation with another geometry.


Before you begin: Open a 3D shape.

  1. Right-click the annotation as shown below on the 3D shape and select the Associated Geometry > Geometry Connection Management.

    The Connection Management dialog box appears.

    Note: In Graph of Geometrical Links, the feature linked to the selected annotation is displayed. If the linked feature is in Hide state, the last child feature in the tree in Show state and of the highest priority level is displayed.

  2. Check that Unique is selected in Scope Range.
  3. Right-click Geometric Component.x in the Graph of Geometrical Links and select the Connect .

    Important:

    It will connect a new geometric component to the user surface User Surface.x feature and prompt you to select the new geometrical element to be linked to the annotations.

  4. Select the surface as shown below on the part.

  5. Click Check Validity to check the new geometry component validity relative to the selected annotation.
  6. Click OK.
    The new geometric component is now linked with the annotation.
