In the tree, right-click the required annotation set and select Generate
Manufacturing Requirements
.
The requirement is generated from each consumable annotation and the
execution report is displayed. The customized requirements are also generated if
the business logic is set for the same in Data Setup. See Generate Customized Manufacturing Requirements (ComputeFTAReqTypes).
Note:
You can manage the consumable annotations as below:
- Right-click the required annotation and select
Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, click the
Manufacturing tab and clear the
Consumable check box.
-
From the Tools section of the action bar, click Links & Relations.
You can also double-click the Implement Relations node
in the tree.
In the Edit Links & Relations dialog box, the
following nodes are displayed:
- Impement.x: Displays the below nodes when
expanded:
- Product name node which is the source for generating requirement
specification
- Requirement Specification.X node
- Physical product name: Displays all the requirements when expanded
-
Expand the Impement.x node.
The generated requirement specification is displayed. Notes:
- When you duplicate a 3D part having an implementation link, the
implementation link of that duplicated part is linked to the
original FTA requirements.
- When you modify or insert any consumable annotation, the
manufacturing requirement is updated or created accordingly.
- When you delete the entire annotation set or assembly annotation
set, manufacturing requirements still exist. You need to delete them
manually.
- When you generate manufacturing requirements on imported V5
features, manufacturing requirements are generated for all the
annotations except annotations from the following:
- As result annotation sets
- Engineering connections that are not loaded corresponding to
assembly annotations
-
Save the session and, in the Search
box, enter the
name of the requirement specification.
You can also search for the requirements under requirement specification.
-
In the search result, right-click the required requirement specification to
open or explore it.
You can select any of the following:
- : To explore the requirements in System Finder.
- : To open the requirements in Functional & Logical Design in the form of 2D graphs. For more information, see Product
Development Model Based: System Finder User's Guide: Navigation on RFLP
Structures: Managing the Display of an RFLP Structure.
- Explore with Collaboration and Approvals: To
explore the manufacturing requirements in Collaboration and Approvals. For more information, see Collaboration and Approvals User's
Guide.
