Capturing the Display Area
  1. Right-click a view/annotation plane in the tree and select Display View.
The view/annotation plane is displayed parallel to the screen, oriented according to its normal and reframed on the view/annotation plane content. When a Display Area has been defined, this one is used to display the view/annotation plane.
    • The view/annotation plane is now the active one.
    • Its annotation set, all its annotations and their corresponding nodes by category contained in the view/annotation plane are swapped in Show space if needed.
    • The annotations contained of other view/annotation planes and these view/annotation planes themselves are swapped in No Show space.
Note: The hide or show status of the annotation is not impacted. Thus, if you display a view or capture, the status of the annotations apart from the current view or capture does not modify the data.
  2. Right-click another view/annotation plane in the tree and select Display View.
    • The view/annotation plane is now the active one.
    • A button appears at the upper-right corner of the window which displays the name and icon of the view or capture with the filters and sectioning (if any). Clicking this button removes the filters and the sectioning.
    • Its annotations and their corresponding nodes by category are swapped in Show space.
    • The annotations contained of the previous view/annotation plane and itself are swapped in No Show space.
    • The previous view/annotation plane displayed if identified with a light purple background in the tree, according to the Track history of displayed views and captures option.
      Important:
      • This behavior is only available for already displayed view/annotation planes in session.
      • The sectioning is not dynamic. That is, after displaying the view, if some of the elements effecting the sectioning are edited, you need to manually update the sectioning.
      • You can remove the color code used to identified already-displayed views and captures from the tree.

To do this, right-click the annotation set and select Delete History of Displayed Views and Captures. You can also select Delete History of Displayed Views and Captures the on the context toolbar.
