Configuring Date Effectivity for Variability Features

If you plan to use date effectivity for variability features, you must edit the bad characters property.

  1. Create or open the text file for customized properties. For more information, see Editing Properties Using MQL.
  2. Add or edit this line in the file used to import properties into a page object: 

    emxFramework.InputFilter.BadChars

  3. Remove the following characters:

    • "
    • <
    • >
    Note: If the ", <, and > characters are defined as bad characters, users will have issues when trying to configure date effectivity for variability features.

  4. When you are finished updating the text file with all properties that you want to modify, use the text file to modify the emxSystem.properties page object. For more information, see Editing Properties Using MQL.
