Object naming uses a string to create objects. The Identification Initialization Business Logic based on the knowledge scripting technology uses this string as soon as entities are created or duplicated. The knowledge scripting technology is a Knowledgeware rule that lets you prevaluate attributes when creating customized actions.

The default customization uses this string as a prefix. For example, if you enter fmo, this string prefixes any created object and lets you search for objects. For more information, see CAA C++ Encyclopedia: References: Business Logic Reference.

The following table displays the default naming rules.

Type Rule Prefix Example
Failure Modes Effects Analysis ENONT_PLMReference_BLInitialization fmea fmea-59957478-00000001
Fallible Reference ENONT_PLMReference_BLInitialization frf frf-59957478-00000009
Fault Tree Element ENONT_PLMReference_BLInitialization fte fte-59957478-00000004
Failure Mode CATSFY_PLMConnection_BLInitialization fmo fmo-59957478-00000009-1

You can customize naming rules according to the standard 3DEXPERIENCE Platform behavior.
