- Optional:
Specify a coordinate reference
system for the collaborative space you are logged
into.
-
Search for the latest version of the CRS 3D
XML from a resource directory in the 3DEXPERIENCE install folder:
\win_b64\resources\geolocation .
-
Select the appropriate 3dxml.zip file. As an example:
EPSG-9.1.0-CRS-3dxml.zip
-
Import the .3dxml file containing the CRS information. For more
information on how to import a CRS, see Identifying a CRS and Importing it.
This step is relevant for importing a Surpac Data Model file that contains
geolocation information specified by a CRS in the metadata header. The CRS
provides a geolocated origin from which are expressed all geometric objects in
the SDM file. For more information, see About Coordinate Reference Systems.
-
To Import the Surpac file, select the extension matching the
format of your choice in the Format list:
- SurpacDTM
(*.dtm) to convert Surpac trisolations. They are converted into
Products.
Notes:
- In Tessellated mode, the
data opens in a root product that contains a 3D shape
representation.
- Due to their multiple file definition through
paired .dtm an.d .str files:
- If the
Source is File on
disk, the associated .str files with
vertices definition must be available in the same
directory.
- If the
Source is
Collaborative Space or
Project Space, you must
upload a FileNameA.zip file containing the required pair
of FileNameA.dtm and xxx.str files in 3DSpace.
- You can overload options previously defined in in the Import dialog
box. In that case, these take precedence over the
options specified in Me Preferences.
- Source and target geolocation can be overloaded by
selecting them in the dialog box.
- SurpacSDM
(*.sdm) to convert Surpac triangulation objects. They are
converted into Products.
- SurpacSTR
(*.str) to import wireframe elements.
- Click
Cancel to interrupt the transfer at any time.
- If the CRS is not found in the
current collaborative space (not imported or not matching the CRS name
of the .sdm file), the import does not account for geolocation
information. You can import the CRS afterward and import the .sdm file
again.
