From the Benches Parameters section of the Pit
Parameters dialog box, click Add
to define bench parameters.

Add values for Bench Angle and Berm Width
for each bench.
Notes:
- The bench angle is the horizontal angle of the line connecting the bench toe to the bench crest.
- Create as many bench parameters as required for the open pit you envision. You can
edit benches and modify the number of benches after creation.
- Optional:
Click Remove
to delete
all bench rows in the table.

Expand the Geothechnical Information type section,
and specify how the regions within the open-pit model should be colorized and
processed.

Select Contour-Based Region.

In the 3D area, select a
support plane for contours in the model.

Adjust the transition distance value. This value helps determining how the wall
segments are connected.

Select a contour to each region.

Assign each region with a single bench parameter.

Click the colored square to apply a color.
The regions are colored accordingly.
- Optional:
Expand the Ramp Parameters section of the Pit
Parameters dialog box, and specify how the ramp should go up.
You classified the regions of interest within the terrain, specifically the edges also
referred to as toes and crests to create the shape of the open-pit mine geometry.
A
Pit Parameter node that accommodates all parameter-related
information is created in the tree.
