About Processing

Defining distinct mineral processing methods —also referred to as processing destinations or processing paths help you handle material-processing specific conditions.

There can be multiple processing steps or process plants in mine planning. Process plants are where mineral treatments are conducted such as crushing or wet grinding, for example.

You specify a destination for blocks that contains ore to be recovered before running the optimization. The processing calculation uses the block element.

Pit Optimization provides the processing command that tracks all the relevant conditions to process categorized materials, such as the processing cost, the recovery —percentage of ore you can recover during mining or the percentage of metal you can recover from the ore during mineral processing. The mining capacity is also accounted for.

In the Processing dialog box, selecting the rock type attribute determines which codes or technical regions you can choose in each individual path of the Rock Type.
