Associating a Knowledge Parameter

You can associate an optimization parameter with a knowledge parameter so that the parameter can be used in Pit Optimization.

Before you begin:
  • Define a site and a block model for the optimization.
  • Create a scenario. See Creating a Scenario.
  • Define the pit optimization parameters required for the scenario. Double-click on the headings below the required case to view or update the defined parameters.

    2. Create a Parameter of type Real.
    3. Add a Design Table to the parameter.
    4. Upload the required file to the Design Table.
    5. Associate a row of the Design Table with the knowledge parameter.
  3. Navigate to Pit Optimization.
  4. To use the parameter you created in Pit Optimization, create an external parameter in the required scenario.
    1. Click the Tools section of the action bar.
    2. Click Formula.
    3. Click Create External Parameter.
    4. Click on .
    5. Click on the required parameter.
    6. Click Create.
  5. Associate the new external parameter to the required Pit Optimization scenario.

You have associated the required knowledge parameter to an optimization parameter so that the parameters can be reused.
