Geoscience AttributeA geoscience attribute is a piece of geoscience data that is measured or interpreted, and used in downstream processes. Attributes contain the actual values of borehole data. Each piece of data is associated with a defined attribute allowing Geoscience Interpretation to interpret and display the borehole data. MethodologyA methodology is a measurement or interpretation of some geoscience attributes stored in the context of a borehole. Methodologies are used to differentiate between seemingly identical data. An instance of a methodology can be referenced by data from many boreholes. Borehole data needs to be mapped to a defined methodology so the Geoscience Interpretation can interpret and display the borehole data. |
