Opening GDS Using 3DSearch

You can use the search tool in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform called as the 3DSearch to open a Geoscience dataset (GDS).


Before you begin: Create a GDS.

  1. Access 3DSearch by using the search field in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform Top Bar or the 3DSearch dashboard app from the Compass.
  2. Enter the name of the Geoscience dataset (GDS) in the search field.
    The results of the search are displayed in the 3DSearch panel. When the 3DSearch panel appears,you can dock anywhere from the frame. It remains pinned on the selected side, even if you open or explore your search results.
  3. Click the GDS result that you want to open in the Geoscience Interpretation app.

    If the 3DSearch panel is docked and the Geoscience Interpretation app is opened, you can also drag and drop the GDS result to the app.

The GDS is opened in the Geoscience Interpretationapp and the graphical canvas displays the GDS.
