Reconstructing the Concept Shape

Milling Reconstruction lets you define profiles and pockets for the reconstruction of the concept shape.

Before you begin: Create a concept shape.
  1. Select the concept shape.
  2. Select a geometric element as the milling direction.
  3. Define the tool diameter.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Define the approximation type and strategy for each profile.
The silhouette of the concept shape based on the tool diameter is computed using the milling direction and the opposite direction to detect non-through pockets, that is pockets with a dimension.

  6. In Profile definition, select or clear the profiles to keep creating the pocket.
  7. From the Strategy list, define the level of accuracy.
  8. Define the milling depth.
