On-Premises

The Function Driven Generative Designer (GDE) role entitles users to a specific set of compute capabilities to support simulations executed from within GDE or Detailed Refinement Designer (DOF). It is subject to the following limitations:

  • The GDE role only supports linear static, linear buckling simulation execution or frequency extraction about an unloaded base state.
  • The GDE role comprises client applications (Graphical User Interface) and computes capabilities, which shall not be operated simultaneously by more than one (1) user.
  • The GDE role allows a maximum of one (1) simultaneous simulation execution.
  • The GDE role allows simulation execution on up to four (4) processor cores.
The Detailed Refinement Designer (DOF) role is an extension to GDE, which may be used to access the compute capability of GDE but does not entitle users to any additional compute capability.

For Public Cloud

The Function Driven Generative Designer (GDE) role entitles users to a specific set of compute capabilities to support simulations executed on customer provided IT resources from within GDE and subject to the following limitations:

  • The GDE role entitles users to execute linear static, linear buckling simulation or frequency extraction about an unloaded base state.
  • The GDE role comprises client applications (Graphical User Interface) and computes capabilities, which shall not be operated simultaneously by more than one (1) user.
  • The GDE role entitles users to execute a maximum of one (1) simultaneous simulation.
  • The GDE role entitles users to execute simulation software on up to four (4) processor cores.
