Creating a New Topology Optimization

You can create a new topology optimization.

Before you begin: Open the Topology Optimization assistant. See Performing an Optimization Using the Topology Optimization Assistant.
  1. From the Design Study section of the action bar, click Topology Optimization .
  2. From the dialog box, click Create new optimization.
  3. Enter a name for the optimization.
  4. Define the optimization strategy:

    Maximize stiffness for a given mass Maximizes the stiffness of the design space.
    Minimize mass while respecting constraints Minimizes the mass of the design space.
    Maximize lowest frequencies for a given mass Maximizes the five lowest natural frequencies of the design space.
  5. Click Duplicate existing analysis to duplicate an existing analysis.
