Extracting Frozen Regions

Once you have redesigned the new part, you can add frozen regions to the selected shape to automatically reapply loads for the final validation.

Before you begin:
  • Create a shape containing frozen regions, that is a portion of the design space to keep.
  • Create a simulation object.
  1. From the Shape Reconstruction section of the action bar, click Apply Design Space Specifications .
  2. Select one of the following elements:
    • A body. You can choose to paste the input body with link, without link, or use the selected body.
    • A closed surface or a volume.

    A geometrical set and a body are created containing the frozen regions.

    Note: You can select the body and validate the resulting shape.
