Creating Balloons

Balloon lets you create balloons corresponding to the references defined on the different parts of an assembly..

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: Open a drawing representation with geometrical elements.

Create a Balloon

  1. Select a report.

    If there are more than one reports available, you need to select the report you want to refer.

  2. Select the geometry.

    If there is no report available or if only one report is available, you can select the geometry or indicate the leader anchor point.

  3. Click in the sheet to define the balloon anchor point.
  4. In the immersive dialog box, enter a value and click .
    The balloon is created.

Position a Balloon on an Existing Annotation

Before you begin: Create a balloon.
  1. Click in the sheet to define the balloon anchor point.
  2. Move the pointer over the reference balloon.
  3. Select on an attachment point to position the balloon.
  4. In the immersive dialog box, enter a value and click .
  5. Optional: Select the balloon and drag to change it's position.
    The balloon is snapped to the selected position.
