From the Annotation section of the action bar, click Thread
.
Tip:
An alternative
method is to select several holes and then click Thread
.
In the Tools Palette, the following options are available:
Tap
,
which is activated by default.
Thread
.
Select Thread
.
Select the hole (or circle) to which you want to apply
the thread.
The thread is created.
Select an axis line handle and drag it along a
direction.
Thread axis lines are modified symmetrically.
Tip:
To move only one axis line, press Ctrl + drag the handle.
Important:
When creating a thread associated to interactive (2D) geometry,
the 2D circle radius is computed according to the following
formula:
Thread Radius = 2D Circle Radius * 1.125mm +0.25mm.
The Metric Thin Pitch or Metric Thick Pitch defined by standards
being different, these cannot be applied.
When creating a thread associated to generative geometry,
a message is displayed if the thread cannot be associative
to the 3D area. In this case, the thread is neither linked to the
3D area nor to 2D geometry. For example, a non-associative thread
with a reference line is not updated when the reference
line is moved.
Deleting the thread axis line deletes the external circle,
and vice versa.
