What's New

This section describes recent changes in City Referential.

R2022x GA

City Referential New User Interface
To help you focus on the referential content management, City Referential has been redesigned and reorganized entirely.
The content of the City Referential User's Guide will be updated to fully reflect the new user interface in a forthcoming R2022X FD level.
As a referential manager:
  • Use the City Referential app to manage, consolidate, and update the content of the urban referential.
  • Switch to the City Discover app for activities that involve urban design or sharing advanced-experiences, or both.
  • You can smoothly interconnect City Referential and City Discover as both apps support enhanced drag-and-drop interactions.
Referential - Building Address Point Management
Specifying settings for the referential now include the normalization of Building Adress Point (BAP) datasources and the definition of a customized local address formatting to use in the output.
Benefits: Enables you to handle BAP sources for a referential as well as specify the address layout for geocoding and reverse geocoding.
Improved Referential Management
You can now browse, retrieve, sort, filter, and search datasets and experiences in new dedicated views that also provide more detailed actions.
Benefits: An expanded coverage for filtering and searching datasets, and experiences involved in a referential.
Dataset Creation Workflow Reorganization
To help you control the entire creation process within City Referential, two dedicated assistants for creating and configuring datasets have been developed. The major steps involve:
  • Selecting the type of data
  • Verifying and validating the creation
  • Transferring the local source files or any existing document in the referential
  • Processing the files
  • Edit the dataset properties to map attributes to predefined attributes.
  • Link additional attributes from a CSV file.
  • Expose relevant custom attributes.
  • Complete the configuration for preparing the dataset.
Benefits: Monitoring both the dataset creation and configuration process within City Referential to support various types locations of input data (local, 3DSpace).
Simplified Dataset Update - Available in City Referential
You can now update an existing dataset by adding or replacing files in the related datasource document in City Referential.
You can make changes to the dataset configuration using the dedicated assistant before updating the dataset.
Benefits: Simplified process to edit and update dataset sources. You can benefit from the dataset configuration assistant to quickly edit the configuration as required within City Referential
