Applying Performance Profiles

Performance profiles let you reduce the core quality level for optimizing performance. These profiles are also defined by the City Referential manager to disable some 3D effects.

These profiles define a list of 3D effects that are activated or deactivated for performance reason.

Important: If profiles have been customized in City Referential, you do not retrieve this customization in City Play. You can only apply predefined profiles.

Before you begin: Sky effects are not available in City Play.
From the action bar, click the appropriate performance profile.
ProfileDescription
Provides the highest performance, but with a lower rendering quality.

Relevant when editing or navigating, but not if you intend to take screenshots.

Provides a medium performance.
Provides the lowest performance. All the rendering and 3D effects are adjusted, but the framerate can slow down, especially on low-end computers and/or if the loaded experience contains visible heavy datasets.

Relevant when adjusting rendering profiles (even though you might not be able to activate some 3D effects).

The changes are simultaneously applied to the 3D view.
