Saving Your Experience

You can save the current state of visibility of all datasets loaded in the experience and the current camera viewpoint. These elements can then be restored when reloading the current City experience.

  1. From the Experience section of the action bar, click:
    • Save City Experience to save the experience with the document title given the first time the experience was saved (through Save City Experience As...).
Important: Each time you use this command, an additional experience file is stored in 3DSpace with the same name. This lets you keep multiple versions of your experience at different stages of completion.

This command is available only when you have first saved the widget instance using the Save City Experience As... command and when this widget instance is linked to the City experience document in the dashboard. In that case, you can save it with a new iteration in the original document.

You cannot save or overwrite the experience in a document that may be owned by someone else, even though you have made changes to the experience.

    • Save City Experience As... to save the experience in a new document. To do so, enter the new document name in the Save City Experience dialog box, and then click OK.

The Collaborative Space list displays the available collaborative spaces (the list is dynamically updated whenever the Save City Experience As... command is run) and lets you select the target collaborative space where your experience will be saved.

The experience is saved in 3DSpace with the default point of view. If the name of the experience has been modified, the change is reflected in the City Experience panel.
Tip: To retrieve more easily your objects in 3DSpace or when running a search, use the City Experience tag value in the What type.
  2. Reload your experience.
You retrieve the experience saved in the first step.
