    OptionDescription
Localisator Position Lets you select the appropriate position for the localisator.
Camera Field of View Lets you define the vertical aperture (in degrees).

For instance, 90° corresponds to a very wide viewing angle. We recommend to set a value comprised between 40 and 50°.

    Original value. 40 degrees

    Modified value. 90 degrees

Quadtrees per level The widget is based on a quadtree along which data is built.

When the camera is far from the ground, the scene is viewed at a low quad level and the displayed area is wide. Inversely, when the camera is close to the ground, the scene is viewed at a high level in the quad and the displayed area is tight with a high resolution.

This parameter lets you temporarily overload the performance profile to be able to take a snapshot with many loaded elements.

    Important:
    • Be careful when setting a value higher than 10: progressively increase the value and pay attention to the memory available on your machine.
    • Save your modifications prior to modifying this parameter.

Sky Lets you change the sky style by selecting a texture from the list.

    • Blue

    • Blue + Clouds

    • Light blue + Clouds

    • Sunset

Important: Time change has no impact on sky styles, only on lighting.
Realistic Water Lets you apply a water rendering by selecting a map and picking a color in your experience.

To do so, proceed in the following order:

    • In the Texture list, select the map from which you want to choose a color.
Tip: For best results, use a cartographic image without toponymy, where water areas are represented using a specific flat color (usually blue) that is not used on any dry area.
    • Click , and then pick a color in your experience.

The picked color is displayed next to the picking button.

    • Specify a tolerance value using the slider.

The higher the value, the higher the difference between the color you pick and the water tone.

    • Define the water tone by clicking either to use a predefined color palette, or the color square on the right to use the color chooser.

    Important:
    • This option is relevant for raster datasets only.
    • Make sure Realistic Water is activated in the Settings section of the action bar. Otherwise, no effect is visible.
Paired Widgets Lets you view and manage the list of widgets that are allowed to emit topics to which the current City widget react. To do so, you must subscribe to the From paired widget only event in the widget preferences.

To manage the list, use the appropriate command:

    • Pair lets you add a new paired widget to the list.
    • Remove lets you remove the selected paired widget from the list.

  3. To close the Preferences panel, either click the cross on the upper right or click Preferences .
