Publishing Scenarios

You can export one or many scenarios' thumbnails as a picture. You can then publish the resulting pictures to your local computer, to a collaborative space, or to 3DSwym.

Publish to Your Computer

You can publish scenarios' thumbnail to your local computer.

  1. From the Scenarios panel, click the upper right part of the scenarios' thumbnail you want to publish.
  2. From the Publish section of the action bar, click Publish Media .
  3. In the Publish Media dialog box, click Local in the Destination area.

    By default, the published image is saved in C:\user\Downloads.

  4. Define the following options:
    OptionDescription
    NameLets you give a name to the published images.

    By default, the experience name is used.

    Scenario Lets you specify the scenarios you want to publish:
    • Current publishes only the active scenario.
    • Selected publishes the selected scenarios (except when publishing to 3DSwym, you can select multiple scenarios).
    • All publishes all the scenarios displayed in the Scenarios panel.
    Important: If you select more than one scenario, one picture is downloaded for each scenario.
    FormatLets you select the image format:
    • JPEG
    • PNG
    QualityLets you define the image quality.
    FormatLets you define the image size:
    • Millimeters
    • Centimeters
    • Pixels
    WidthLets you define the image width.
    HeightLets you define the image height.
    DpiLets you define the image resolution.
    Note: This option is relevant for the Millimeters and Centimeters formats only.
  5. Click Publish.



Publish to a Collaborative Space

You can publish scenarios's thumbnails to a collaborative space.

  1. From the Scenarios panel, click the upper right part of the scenarios' thumbnail you want to publish.
  2. From the Publish section of the action bar, click Publish Media .
  3. In the Publish Media dialog box, click Collaborative Space in the Destination area.
  4. Define the following options:

    NameLets you give a name to the published images.

    By default, the experience name is used.

    Scenario Lets you specify the scenarios you want to publish:
    • Current publishes only the active scenario.
    • Selected publishes the selected scenarios (except when publishing to 3DSwym, you can select multiple scenarios).
    • All publishes all the scenarios displayed in the Scenarios panel.
    Important: If you select more than one scenario, one picture is downloaded for each scenario.
    FormatLets you select the image format:
    • JPEG
    • PNG
    QualityLets you define the image quality.
    FormatLets you define the image size:
    • Millimeters
    • Centimeters
    • Pixels
    WidthLets you define the image width.

  5. Click Publish.



Publish to 3DSwym

You can publish scenarios's thumbnails to 3DSwym.

  1. From the Scenarios panel, click the upper right part of the scenarios' thumbnail you want to publish.
  2. From the Publish section of the action bar, click Publish Media .
  3. In the Publish Media dialog box, click 3DSwym in the Destination area.

    Important: You must be Author in at least one community.

  4. Define the following options:

    Name Lets you give a name to the published images.

    By default, the experience name is used.
    Scenario Lets you specify the scenarios you want to publish:
    • Current publishes only the active scenario.
    • Selected publishes the selected scenarios (you can select multiple scenarios).
    • All publishes all the scenarios displayed in the Scenarios panel.
    Important:
    • If you select more than one scenario, one picture is downloaded for each scenario.
    • On 3DSwym, you cannot publish multiple images at the same time.
    Format Lets you select the image format:
    • JPEG
    • PNG
    Quality Lets you define the image quality.
    Format Lets you define the image size:
    • Millimeters
    • Centimeters
    • Pixels
    Width Lets you define the image width.
    Height Lets you define the image height.
    Dpi Lets you define the image resolution.
    Note: This option is relevant for the Millimeters and Centimeters formats only.
  5. Click Publish.
  6. In the additional dialog box that opens, specify the platform to where you want to publish the image.
  7. Specify the publication type: Community or Conversation.
  8. Specify the content type: Media, Post, Question, or Idea.

    If you clicked Conversation in the previous step, you can choose between Media and Post only.

  9. If you have chosen Community as publication type, click a community in the list.
  10. Optional: Enter a title and a description for the published image.
  11. Click Publish.



Publish to 3DDrive

You can publish scenarios's thumbnails to 3DDrive.

  1. From the Scenarios panel, click the upper right part of the scenarios' thumbnail you want to publish.
  2. From the Publish section of the action bar, click Publish Media .
  3. In the Publish Media dialog box, click 3DDrive in the Destination area.
  4. Define the following options:

  5. Click Publish.

The media is uploaded to the root of the My Files space.

Important: If you publish a media with a name and extension that already exist in My Files, no warning message is displayed and the existing file is updated with the published media.
