Loading an Experience

You can load two kinds of experiences: experience saved through City Discover or City Referential, or experiences saved through City Illustration.

Load a CTXP File

You can load .ctxp files which are experiences saved through City Discover or City Referential but not saved through City Illustration yet.

Before you begin: See City Discover User's Guide and City Referential User's Guide for more information about how to create, update and save experiences.
  1. From the Compass, click Social and Collaborative Apps .
  2. Drag the 3DSpace widget to your dashboard.
  3. In 3DSpace, locate the City experience file to be loaded.

    Note: You can use tags to locate the appropriate file more quickly. To do so, from the top bar, click 6WTags . Click at the top of the panel, and then select All Tags.

  • In the 6WTags panel, expand the What category and click City Experience.
    1. Drag the .ctxp experience file from 3DSpace to the widget.
    2. Optional: Enter a new name for the experience, or leave the default.
    3. In the Where list, select the collaborative space where your experience is to be created.

      This list displays collaborative spaces available for the current tenant.

    4. Optional: Click More on Role and Organization, and then select:
      • a role in the Access Role list
      • an organization in the Organization list.
    5. Click Create.

      Important: Once you have selected a collaborative space, a role, and an organization, you cannot modify them afterward.

    Load a CTPS File

    You can load .ctps files which are experiences saved through City Illustration. They are called "presentations".

    1. From the Compass, click Social and Collaborative Apps .
    2. Drag the 3DSpace widget to your dashboard.
    3. In 3DSpace, locate the City experience file to be loaded.

      Note: You can use tags to locate the appropriate file more quickly. To do so, from the top bar, click 6WTags . Click at the top of the panel, and then select All Tags.

  • In the 6WTags panel, expand the Type category and click Realtime Experience.
    1. Drag the .ctps experience file from 3DSpace to the widget.
    2. In the welcome panel, click either:
      • Open Experience to load the experience in authoring mode. The action bar is displayed and you can edit and share your experience.
      • Play to load the experience in Play mode. The action bar is not displayed and you cannot modify the experience. Only the Scene Manager panel is available to let you play the guided tour by clicking .
        Important: By default, the Scene Manager panel is hidden. Click to display it.

        When in Play mode, you can click Close Experience at the bottom of the widget. Then, click either:

        • Save to save your experience prior to closing it.
        • Exit to close your experience without saving it.
        • Cancel to go back to your experience.
